Attaching files with various Email Programs.


AOL File attachment information:
You can attach any file -- word processing documents, spreadsheets, graphics, photographs, even sounds -- to an e-mail E-mail is typically a one-to-one communications system. With an AOL screen name, you can e-mail with other AOL and Internet users. message.

To attach a file to your e-mail

1. Click the Write icon on the AOL toolbar.
2. In the Write Mail window, click Attachments.
3. In the Attachments window, click Attach.
4. Navigate to the folder that contains the file you want to attach.
5. Double-click the file you want to attach.
6. Repeat steps 3-5 for any other files A File is an electronic document which can be text, pictures, sounds, videos or whole programs. Reminder: Never download files from someone you don't know. Files may contain dangerous Trojan Horse programs that may capture your AOL password, severely damage your computer, or contain objectionable graphics. To report a violation in an attached file, please forward the e-mail to screen name TOSReports. you want to attach.
7. Click OK.
8. You are ready to send email as soon as you have written your email or reply.
Notes

- The maximum size for a file attachment you can send is 16 MB.

- The recipient must have software that is compatible with your file(s). For example, if you send someone a WordPerfect file, your recipient must have either WordPerfect or a word processing program capable of opening WordPerfect files. Also make sure the file is compatible with your recipient's computer; a Macintosh machine may not be able to read some Windows files, and vice versa.


Yahoo File attachment information

Once you have started your Yahoo email program,
1. Select Compose for new email or Reply.
2. Next look at the Tool Bar, click on Attach (it is the one with a paper clip)
3. In the Attachments window, click Attach.
4. Navigate to the folder that contains the file you want to attach.
5. Double-click the file you want to attach.
